{"id":2782,"date":"2015-05-19T16:44:50","date_gmt":"2015-05-19T14:44:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pina.si\/?p=2782"},"modified":"2015-05-26T14:20:58","modified_gmt":"2015-05-26T12:20:58","slug":"meeting-on-memory-and-remembrance-in-tallinn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/meeting-on-memory-and-remembrance-in-tallinn\/","title":{"rendered":"MEETING ON MEMORY AND REMEMBRANCE IN TALLINN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Meeting, under the title <strong>\u201cCommon European Memory \u2013 Promise, illusion or challenge?\u201d<\/strong>, saw the participation of people and entities from most EU countries, especially from those historically more involved in the Memory and Remembrance field &#8211; such as Germany, Poland, the Baltic states, and Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The attendees discussed the <strong>relationship<\/strong> between national, regional and transnational frameworks of EU memory, and <strong>how<\/strong> they influence transnational forms of inclusive democratic citizenship. Activities included conferences, panel discussions, workshops and social events.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pina.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/DF_5969.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2785 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pina.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/DF_5969-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"tallinn\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/DF_5969-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/DF_5969.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Estonia\u2019s geographical location and history offered the opportunity to reflect not only on the region\u2019s experience of National Socialism, the Shoah, and Soviet Communism, but also on the challenge of including minorities into a common European remembrance.<\/p>\n<p>PiNA\u2019s participation is connected with one of our ongoing projects, called <strong>\u201cWomen of the Resistance\u201d<\/strong>, carried out with international partners from Italy and Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>The project focuses on the <strong>role of women\u2019s Resistance for post-conflict and contemporary social change<\/strong>, and consists of multimedia workshops for high schools in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, and of a related short-film-and-essay competition for young people.<\/p>\n<div class='ctx-module-container ctx_default_placement ctx-clearfix'><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"ctx-article-root\"><!-- --><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Vice President Borut Jerman recently took part in the 5th Networking Meeting with Organisations active in the field of Memory and Remembrance, organised by the European Commission together with many other European partners, and held in Tallinn on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":2783,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false},"categories":[104,175],"tags":[90,103,102,89,99,65],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2782"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/9"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2782"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2782\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2825,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2782\/revisions\/2825"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2783"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2782"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=2782"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.stara.pina.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=2782"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
